So I recently gave birth to a little girl and her father has narcolepsy. I tend to worry quite a bit about when she grows up and he falls asleep all the time how do I go about explaing to her, why her father sleeps all the time and it can get annoying when you busy doing something with him and he just passes out.. then what ever you were doing is forgotten about. I just don`t want my daughter to be angry with him because he falls asleep ALL the time. %-)

I don't think you should treat it any differently than any other medical disorder. How would you explain it if he had diabetes - or seizures - or high blood pressure. I think age appropriate explanations are very adequate to explain medical conditions to children...
