I have just had symptoms like this start for me about 2 weeks ago. It can not be gallstones as I have already had mt gallbladder removed. I am scared what it could be. I am going to make an appointment to see my Dr. Promise to post back once I have seen him.

I just had a horrible cold. Once i started recovering I noticed everytime I bend over my inner right rib feels like it cramps up and hurts badly.

It sounds alot like my symptoms. I can actually feel a movable lump that goes in and out of my right rib area, but I'm very thin. I think it's a movable/floating kidney. I've done alot of research and if can cause a whole slew of symptoms. It seems like a rare thing but it's actually quite common especially in women. Do some research on It and see a urologist. Make sure you do an ultrasound siting or standing up. Many CT scans don't show anything because the kidney can just fall back into place while lying down.

Years ago, I got a sharp pain under the bottom of my left rib when bending over to put on stockings. It went away when I suddenly sat up. Over the years, on occasion when I bend down to put on socks and shoes I get the sharp pain again. While driving the other day, I felt like maybe my bra was too tight and pressing on my ribs so I thought that was the answer. Today I'm going bra-less and bent over slightly to go thru stuff in a box and got that sharp pain again. I think if I go to the doctor, he'll think I'm crazy. It's painful and scary when it happens.

Hey I am having the same thing, and I am told this sort of pain can be triggered by anxiety , as I can only realy feel it wen I am worried about it , does this ring true with anyone ?

I am under alot of stress and do have alot of anxiety. Most of the time I'm okay but bending down triggers the pain.

I had a ct scan and only problem they found was I have a 'fatty liver'. I have the same feeling like a "fist size" of pressure under my lower right rib cage. Hoping a healthy diet elevates the problem.
