I’m 4 weeks pregnant and after what I thought was a regular checkup my ob-gyn told me he suspect that I’m having IUGR syndrome or simply, my baby is not grown enough for his gestational age. That’s why he sent me for ultrasound test to track fetal movement and possibly detect any chromosomal and genetic abnormalities that might be responsible for the slow growth, but I’m still trying to be hopeful that my little one will catch up since this is my second pregnancy and the first one went completely perfectly. That’s why I’m wandering, if anyone has experience on this, how reliable is fetal movement test for chromosomal abnormalities. Should we expect more accurate genetic testing to be done, as well?
