No sh*t as****e. I've overdosed. There's also neltrexate or some sh*t. You don't need to be an as****e about something noone disagreed on. Noone said naloxone wasn't narcan . What's the difference anyway? Who cares if anyone knows that naloxone is the same as narcan. As long as they know what naloxone is.

I take 8mg 2mg Suboxone films and heartily disagree with the statement that the films don't work as well as the tablets. I get much more relief from the films, taste is not as bad. But I may be taking mine for a different reason. I don't take Subs for detox but for chronic pain. I urge anyone who wants to try the films. Changed my life.

Right?! I am amazed at how many people answer these questions with answers that they've pulled out of their ass! And half of them can't even spell!

The question was "Can I take Flexoril with Suboxone" The answer is yes, you can. But be careful! A search on the internet will tell you that there is a major interaction between Buprenorphine, Subutex or Suboxone, when used with Flexoril or Cyclobenzaprine. This is because they both suppress the nervous system, and in sufficient quantities, can cause coma and/or death. I take 16mg of Buprenorphine every day for chronic pain. I also get horrible leg cramps from time to time and have a prescription for Cyclobenzaprine, which is a generic for Flexoril. I took 10 mg of Cyclobenzaprine and, while it relieved my cramps, it also knocked me out for a day and half. By knocked out, I mean that my systems were so depressed, all I could do was sleep, or sit in a chair and nod in and out of consciosness. It was similar to taking too much Benadryl or allergy medicine, but worse. More recently, I took 5mg of Cyclobenzaprine for cramps and slept for ten hours. So, if you take Flexoril with Suboxone, start with a small dose and see how your body handles it. I wish you well!
And, on the topic of the Naloxone in Suboxone: Someone got it right early on in this discussion when they said that the Naloxone only comes into play if and when the Suboxone is changed into something injectable. It's in the Suboxone to prevent abuse. The Naloxone works ONLY WHEN INJECTED. If you just swallow it or use it under your tongue, the Naloxone has "poor bioavailability", which means not enough of it get into your system to be effective. If you INJECT it however, then it blocks the narcotic effect of the buprenorphine thats there with it in the Suboxone, and the abuser doesn't get high. I hope this information helps someone.

I'm very frustrated because ive always taken the combo..suboxone and clonzapam and now I'm not allowed to take any bensos ! it says both r just as dangerous so I'm alittle confused,,any help , n I understand that its a cns deppresent and I cud die but I never have because ive taken such a low does of the benso and have been on it for so many yrs , I too don't get high of bupermorphine but it makes my life manageable except for now high anxiety all the time ,, I don't understand why flexerail and gabapenting are ok to take ?? and everyone seems to be put on the gabapenting but yet its not even fDA approved for anything of the sort ,makes me dissy and anxiety worse! any advice would be appreciate in a nice manner THanks!

Finally, a straight answer. I am lying here in the middle of the night at a pain level of 10 having taken my 24 MGs of Suboxone. I need either an injection of Toradol or a muscle relaxer. Toradol is very effective because It is not an opiate. It can make your stomach bleed so I am looking for something I can take in addition to subs, like flexeril. Does anybody know of any other non-opiate meds that will help with the pain? I'm dying here!

You can take benzo's with Suboxone. Any good doctor will tell you not to take them together or at night because it can in very rare instances cause respiratory depression. I have been through this argument and know for a fact that benzo's and Suboxone are not mutually exclusive. Neurontin does nothing for anxiety by the way.

I live in Virginia and they have a new rule where only pregnant women can receive Subutex. So I have a pharmacy compound me my pills with .01 percent of naloxone. I'm severely allergic to the Naloxone so this has been really hard for me. Now that I found this doctor that compounds I don't even notice the Naloxone. It's great and I have some questions. How do you go about weening yourself off all of these type of drugs to be drug free?

Now that's funny!! Subutex and suboxone are the same drug basically EXCEPT Subutex doesn't have the blocker in it!! It can be dangerous if taking other opiates though as it's another form of opiate. Muscle relaxer not sure but I know you're not supposed to take any Benzos like Xanax, Valium etc, so I would check with your Pharmacist.

I am a chronic pain patient because of multiple car accident (none my fault thank God) and about 6 other medical conditions. I take Suboxone and ativan and all of my 7 doctors know this. The ativan helps take the edge off my pain level. It works for me, but everyone's body id different. If your pain is from withdrawals it will lower at some point, but if it is chronic pain talk to your doctor abut getting something else. Muscle relaxers do not help me... just my experience. I also take trazadone at night. I do not wake-up during the night in pain when I take it.
