We are all in the same boat here of the feeling of "sickness" before our period. I have retired from using western medicines for this and have wasted a lot of money with all sort of way to get rid of this monthly deadly feeling. My life has not been normal because of my flu like sickness. What I fear even more is my uncontrolled feeling of negativity before my period comes. I have a lot of anxiety too. Infact I try to distance myself from people during these days of the month. It seems that there is no cure until now for this. But what I can really say is that these came from the food we are eating now. The chickens that have been injected with growth hormones, the pesticides from the vegetables, rice, etc. Nothing is really safe unless you plant your own vegetables or grow your own chicken. I am from Philippines and would like to share one big thing to all of us having menstrual pain. My grandma's friend adviced me to boil leaves of chico and drink it while having my period. It actually cleans our ovary literally. It removes all the blood that are supposed to flow out. If these blood are not all able to get out during our menstruation, they will obviously rot and this will cause future problems. Our neighbor who had mayoma drank this for 2 months ( by the way the taste is not very bad) and blocks of old blood came out, mostly color blackish/reddish. When she came back to the doctor, the doctor was so surprised, thinking she had a miracle. I tried this too because I wanted to make sure no dead blood from menstruation would be left inside me so I drank these boiled chico leaves for 2 months and esp. during my period, all those big blocks of red blood came out. I hope it will help you all too. I am no fan of herbals/leaves as cure but this was definitely something i can not ignore. Chico is a color brown round sweet fruit. It's seeds are sharp that is why when we were young, our mom supervises us whenever we are eating this fruit. Never have I thought that now that i am 31 i will be using the leaves the cure my dysmenorrhea forever. Only the flu-like feeling before period was left.

I am trying my luck with Ainterol Pueraria Mirifica. My friend works at Ainterol and her monthly flu like sickness vanished finally. No more PMS. She thought before it has no cure but since Pueraria balances our hormone, then her situation improved. Just talked to her this week and I will purchase that. It's not a synthetic capsule like others that harms the kidney and liver. This is just an extract of the root. Nah,I should have told her about my situation long time ago so that I have benefited from this pueraria.

I also have that- hypothyroid, fatigue, low iron and b complex supply. Maybe these are some factors we can consider that contributed to our sickly feeling.

I thought I was the only one until I researched this! Feel most of the symptoms that everyone has commented on. I did not have a period from 29 to 38..then they came back with a vengence! I also battle the PMDD, which makes one want to commit suicide! It seems when I eat healthier, omit sugar & lighten up on the coffee, it does help, so diet is a BIG part of the hormonal issues. I know Jesus is our healer, and when we listen, HE will advise us on what and how to do things to get whole again. It is a journey, Ladies, but we can WIN!

For several years (in my 30's, now I am mid 40's) I had a slight sore throat and runny nose that would start a couple of days before my period.  It was tolerable - I dealt with it.  I was on the pill.  Then I went off the pill and and after a while, I got a full blown cold.  Lots of mucous!  I missed work.  I got back on the pill and that pretty much straightened out.  I am off of the pill again, but I am again experiencing the severe cold symptoms.  This is the first month in a couple of years. What gives!!!  I am sitting here drinking my severe cold and flu stuff so I can get to sleep. and contemplating not going to work tomorrow.  I think I will get back on the pill.  Maybe some of you ladies want to consider that too.

Hi,
Your description of the never-ending UTI sounds all too familiar. I thought it might be helpful for you to look into interstitial cystitis- I struggled with what I thought were UTIs for the longest time then finally figured out what it actually was. It mimics the symptoms yet there is no bacterial infection. Good luck, and thanks for the info!
