I have problem with genital ulcer. I am 26 years old, female, sexually active. I’ve been told that genital ulcer can be symptom of HIV. Is this true? What other conditions can be caused with genital ulcers?

Yes, genital ulcers can be a symptom of HIV, although for women with HIV, genital ulcers could be a symptom of other things, like cancer or CMV. Most common genital ulcers disease is in almost 70% herpes, in about 20% syphilis and third would be chancroid. I remember that on of my ex-boyfriend had genital herpes. He was treated with Acyclovir. If you have ulcers, it is important to see you doctor to find out what's causing them.
