Hi, folks. A doctor saw some change on my X ray image and now he wants to perform an osteo biopsy. I don’t feel any pain here, I just fell and I had to go to X ray. I would like to know how accurate this diagnostic procedure is. Can anyone help me with more info? I would appreciate it.

Hi to you too. Bone biopsy is something that is often done, so you don’t need to be scared. Here, a small piece of bone tissue is taken with a needle. It is sent to a pathohistology and is observed under a microscope. It is usually used to distinguish benign from malign processes. When it comes to this, it is pretty accurate. Of course, an experienced pathologist should examine the tissue sample. I hope this helps. Good luck with all! Bye!
