Hi, I have been suffering from gum recession for long time. This disorder can be easily identified. When the recession is in the front of the mouth, it can be seen. However, recession may occur on any teeth, on the cheek side of the teeth or the tongue side. Sometimes, if patients are doing a very good job of cleaning their teeth they can provoke it themselves. Some people have thin and fragile gums and so, they are predisposed for recession. Also, bacterial infection can be reason for gum problems. In this case also underlying bones infected, so an antibiotic must be applied.
