I searched on Google and it sounds like it would be an osteoma and can be removed by a plastic surgeon.

if it hurts when you touch it you need to go to a dermatologist. I had the same thing. Took me 6 months to get to one (lines are long in Canada). Turns out it was skin cancer. Watch it closely!

Hi I have had my lump over my right eye for the past 6yrs and I've been trying to figure out the same thing and how did I get it

I have the exact same problem. Im 22 years old. Ive been aware of this lump for about 4/5 years, but recently it seems to of became more prominent and alot of people notice it. I've been told that it's a bone or a cyst and that I could go for minor cosmetic surgery to have it removed, hoping to speak to my doctor about getting a CT scan. But haven't been able to find any information on it.

I have had a issue with Cysts for 30 years now. I have had 4 removed from face, right foot and right hand. I have had a cyst on my right side of my forehead just above my eyebrow for over 10 years now. It stayed the same size for 98% of those years. However, in the last 18 months it has been growing. I was 12 when I had the first one (left cheek along side my nose) removed I saw a plastic surgeon because other Dr's/surgeons refused to perform any procedure on the face. In my early 30's I had 3 removed within a 2 year time frame. I had 1 removed from the top of my hand by an orthopedic hand specialist and the 2 removed from the top of my right foot, they were a year apart. Both of those procedures were performed by my orthopedic specialists. With that being said I have been searching for a Dr. to remove the one from my lower right forehead going on 2 years now. I have called every plastic surgeon in my state and they either do not accept my insurance or the doctor no longer removes cysts or growths from the face. So then I tried an ENT and found out they don't remove things from the face and recommended I seek out a plastic surgeon.....I chuckled and told them what I had been told. So my last and final option is to see a dermatologist. Hopefully they will remove it! So to sum it up I believe that you all most likely have cysts. They're usually genetic.....I believe this because my father has had half a dozen removed from his head and face. I hope my short story will help anyone who reads this forum.

I also have the same thing. A very round, hard lump on my right side of my forehead right at the scalp line, about an inch from the centre. It bothers me just knowing it's there. Seems to have gotten a tiny bit bigger. Can't really tell. A little less than a quarter of an inch or so. I'm just afraid of anything like this. We do all have similar things and we need advice.

Most likely it's an Osteomas, which is harmless and can be removed with a non evasive procedure.

I also had an accident when I was a teenager so I had stitches above left eye which left a scar and harden tissue around it BUT I just woke up after s 3 day headache and noticed a large hard lump that does not hurt to the touch above the same eye. My headache was severe yesterday. Not gone but better right now.
I noticed same thing about 2 years ago after waking but it seems to come and go or maybe just be more pronounce at times than others.

Yes I have a bump on my forehead too.. I do know for a fact mine came from a blow to the forehead.. My conclusion (for those that have been struck on the forehead) is that the bone that's what we call the forehead is not as strong so when it's struck or hit it gets a small crack, the body then begins to repair the break and it creates that hard calcified bump appearance as a result. What I do know that when bone is injured the cells build up in that spot and cause like a mass of hard bone that to us looks like a lump. Now everyone else those who say it just appeared out of nowhere for no reason should get that checked.. But I doubt they did probably happened as a child and just never paid it attention. If your worried go get it checked, never ignore your gut.

I have one too... on my left side by the hair line. Did cctscan and MRI 3 months apart no growth. Went to a neurosurgeon and under his care. Board of physicians discussed it and reviewed and they came up with hyperostosis. In January which is 6 months from MRI I do another MRI if no growth ten they'll monitor 1x a year. I say go o have a CT or MRI done with and without contact like I did and have a neurosurgeon give you their expertise.

I am not sure I see the answer to these questions. I have the same thing, a small lump on the right "front" of my forehead. It is hard bone and seems to get larger then smaller. It is not behind my ear nor is it anywhere near that area. Is this something to be concerned about?
