I had a VERY LARGE hemangiomas seen in a ultra sound 1 1/2 years ago..... The Dr said "not to worry about it". Well, I did worry about it, and the fact that I've had tons of food sensitivities, 1 alcoholic drink makes me feel hung over the next day, and I had sever lead poisoning 2005. My instincts were telling me this "thing on my liver" was due to my liver being clogged with the residue of a bad diet of processed foods and toxic build up. I did 5 liver and gallbladder cleanses. My last ultra sound showed "NO TRACE OF A HEMANGIOMAS". Never under estimate the power of natural treatments to help heal our bodies! Buy the book "The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush" by Andreas Moritz. You can get it on Amazon. It's an international best seller.

I am a 26 year old female recently tentatively diagnosed with multiple liver hemangiomas, the largest being 9.0 x 5.8 x 6.3 cm in the right lobe. One of my friends is in school for sonography and i went in to let her practice scanning on my gallbladder and ended up being told by her professor to see a doctor as soon as possible. I've had a second ultrasound performed at the request of my doctor and it confirmed "multiple heterogeneously hyperechoic lesions in the liver". I had blood tests done and everything was normal. I had been having some problems with stomach pain every once in a while, but never enough to see a doctor about it, but now that I have learned about the largest mass I do feel like I have a "full" feeling right under the bottom of my rib cage on the right. What is everyone's experience related to size of the hemangiomas? At what size do they start to consider intervention? I have an MRI next week to confirm that they are indeed hemangiomas and then hopefully there will be a follow up with my regular doctor.

I used to have similar “attacks” many years ago and thought it was my gallbladder. I didn’t have insurance at the time, so I just dealt with it as my attacks were usually months apart. In the summer of 2009 I was at a conference in Chicago and had to miss a full day of sessions due to an attack. I finally realized what was causing it and even though I have never been formally diagnosed, I have never had an issue since. I realized that the attack came on while I was in the shower, bent over shaving my legs. The only thing that I had done that morning before showering was taking my daily medications. I then put two and two together and did some research. It’s been 8 years and I have never had another attack. What I learned is that anytime I take any sort of medication that requires swallowing pills; I make sure that I do not bend over within 30 minutes of doing so. To this day, if I swallow pills, I do not bend forward for 30 minutes and I do not have any issues. It may not make sense, but I have still have my gallbladder and do not experience any of the attacks. I do hope you found some relief.

Glad you are feeling better. Mine also causes pain. My Doc at Mayo put me on the FODMAP food plan which has been very helpful. This may be helpful in your case as well. Tina

I went to the doctors thinking I had a damaged muscle & was sent for an ultrasound. They accidentally found a mass on my liver, so then I went for a MRI. I was diagnosed with a 7cm Hemangioma & have been advised not to get pregnant until they carry out another MRI in 6 months time.
I was having pain under my rib cage & in my back, but the doctor said this is a coincidence, but reading some of these posts I don't think it is! I started taking omeprazole in desperation for the pain as painkillers didn't touch it & randomly it has helped with the pain. If my MRI shows its grown I'll be referred to a liver specialist for further treatment before I can try for another baby.

I am so glad that I have read these. I found out years ago I had these on my liver and was told it was nothing to worry about. For years I have suffered with what I thought was irritable bowel syndrome, severe bloating, trapped wind, pain. Now I know that it might not be IBS. Trip back to docs for me I think .

What did your diagnosis end up being? Did you ever get any answers? I am a 36 year old female with the exact same symptoms. I know my gall bladder is not the issue as I had mine removed 11 years ago while pregnant with my first child. I am searching for answers. I have just switched doctors to hopefully get a fresh perspective.

Hi , I suggest you perform first a fibroscan or fibromax to first rule out any fibrosis .
Meanwhile, PET scan is a good choice to rule out any tumor or malignancy and then u can have a peace of mind .

I have been diagnosed with a liver cyst that is 8mm in size. I have been to the hospital over 100 times..... seriously I have searching for answers to why my light side under my rib cage hurts severely. After years of ever test under the sun an MRI finally gave me a diagnosis. Six days of finally knowing what's going on, but still in pain can't see a liver doctor for 2 more months. This pain never let's up and I've read many people suffer no symptoms.......Ok BUT I DO AND I NEED HELP . I WANT TO MAKE SURE MY CYSTS IS NOT GOING TO RUPTURE.

Hi, do you have any updates on the hemangioma? I had a 10 cm one removed in 8/17, 6 month check up confirmed 3 more but all smaller than 5cm and currently are not growing. Hoping to keep them that way. Looking to see if anyone has any ideas how to keep them from growing? Increased iron, watching potassium and magnesium. Gall bladder taken out with hemangioma and advised never to take another hormone product.

Hi! I am curious if you had high liver enzymes. Mine are high and they saw a 7.5 nodule on the liver. My symptoms seem the same as on this thread but some say the liver hemangiomas typically don't have high enzyme levels. MRI is for next week. Mine is at 270. Thanks for any feedback.
