You can also used a castor oil pack to break up some of the fatty liver...there is a web site you may like to check out .It is Barbara O Neill out of Australia. There are so many things a person can do for themselves to clear up problems and even in some cases reverse a lot of the symptoms. The liver, gallbladder, spleen are screaming CLEAN ME She is amazingly knowledgable and gives the most informative lectures

I have almost identical symptoms to yours. Had CT scan that detected cyst on the dome of my liver....6 months later a follow-up with an ultrasound revealed it's not a cyst but a Hemangioma. I have to take B-Injections once a month and Vitamin D daily for my low blood level of Vitamin D. Most of my pain is under my rib at my bra line where they just diagnosed the Hemangioma. I noticed your post is over a year ago, so my question is have you found a doctor who has been able to help you? What treatments if any have been done to eliminate your Hemangioma? Thank you for your time!

A liver hemangioma was found in my right quadrant last year. I have been suffering extreme fatigue and asked a few doctors if this is a symptom of the hemangioma all have said no. I find it strange since on every message board people who have one complain of this. I was also wondering if having one means your liver is functioning at less capcity?

I checked out the thread and unluckily for me, this is as far as your story ended. I would like to know if your tumor shrank after your embolisation? Yours is the closest to my case, a bout of acid reflux which led me to undergo utz revealing a mass in my liver, had endoscopy after which revealed gastric ulcerations and 4ph dynamic ct scan revealed a 12.2 x 10.5 x 15.4 cms hemangioma in my entire right lobe. I have undergone embolisation last march 2014 with polyvinyl alcohol and lipiodol and post embolisation scans after 3 mos show no negligble change in the tumor size. My doctor reassured me that it was just ok as long as its growth is halted, if it continues to grow then he suggests another embolisation since he doesn't like surgery for me since the morbidity and mortality is too high. My gastro thinks otherwise, surgery since embolisation was not successful and while i am still able because the risk for the fatal rupture is still there but, I feel complacent with my doctor who says he will stick his neck out to anyone who would impose surgery for me. I am a nurse here in the Philippines.

I was diagnosed with a hemangioma 4x3x3 cm about a month ago after a host of symptoms but when I found a liver/gi doc he downplayed it and said I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome and I am on a special diet (FODMAP) and taking priobiotics and they have helped with some symptoms but I still have a lot of pain in my upper right abdomen, down to my hip, pain in my back, etc. I have had pain along my bra line for YEARS now and can't wear sports bras at all anymore because it is too painful. I have ALWAYS been super healthy but now I am finding it hard to walk up a flight of stairs without feeling worn out. I am 47 years old, 5 feet 9 inches, 135 pounds and used to teach yoga and I was very healthy and now walking up a flight of stairs is too much for me and my doc is downplaying it all. I'm frustrated my doc downplayed this hemagioma. We are doing another ultrasound in 5 months to see if it is growing. i'm thinking I need a second opinion.

I went for ultrasound after pain in the upper right quadrant of my abdomen and some nausea and back and shoulder pain. The doc thought i had gallbladder issues. No stones were found on ultrasound, just a few small polyps on the gallbladder. A shadow was found on the liver so now am waiting for MRI and bood work results to see if this is a hemangioma or something else

Did he give you any idea of what might be causing the pain? Something must be going on if you've always been healthy but are struggling to walk up a flight of stairs. Second opinion would be well worth it, even if only to gain peace of mind. But you may find out it isn't the hemangioma. I've had a cavernous hemangioma at least since it was discovered in 2011 during an unrelated surgery. My guess is it's been there over 30 years since an ATV crash in the early 80s, with point of impact just under the ribs on the right side. Since diagnosis it got bigger, then it got smaller, which my hepatologist couldn't explain. Point I'm trying to get to is your hemangioma may or may not be symptomatic, but if you've always been in good condition and suddenly aren't, that seems symptomatic of SOMETHING. I'm no medico, but losing your fitness suddenly seems like it wouldn't be related to liver. Like you I've always been very active, now 52, still walk many miles/week (that converts to a bunch of km/week). But when I DON'T walk a lot, I notice the loss in aerobic capacity very quickly. If your pain has kept you from exercising lately, that MIGHT be what's going on. Get a second opinion and find out.

I just posted, then listened to a Barbara O'Neill lecture (she's mentioned in the first response by a different guest) .Very interesting. She talks about the benefits of a "modified Atkins": diet - high vegetarian protein, low carb, moderate fat. That sounds like what I eat more often than not. Not sure if it means anything, but I also take high-potency/high-B/high mineral multivitamin, folic acid, and an organic fish oil supplement, all daily and have for years. Something made my hemangioma shrink. Best of luck.

Wow!!! Thank you so much for sharing you experience. I'm going through a very similar thing but I was told emobolization does not work and is not worth pursuing. I really don't want to get surgery as 60% of my liver will have to be resected.
