Hello! My father had glaucoma. He used to have a high eye pressure and he had taken eye drops to treat it. The medicines he used didn’t lower eye pressure adequately so his doctor recommended surgery. His surgery was a week ago. His eyes were a bit irritated after the surgery and they are fine now. But his vision is still sometimes blurry. Is this normal?

Hello! It is completely normal that eyes get a bit irritated and the vision slightly blurry after the surgery. You haven’t written if your father has been to the first check up which is usually done few days after the surgery. His doctor should check on the eye pressure and look for any signs of infection or increase in inflammation. Yu father has to avoid driving, reading, bending, and heavy lifting for few weeks after the surgery.
