My father is 69 years old and suffers from some rare for of glaucoma that does not include any eye pressure. The problem is, he did not tell anything to anyone about his vision issues until it has become apparent and therefore the therapy will take much longer and its effectiveness will most probably not be as high as it could have been.

Glaucoma is usually related to the problems with the eye pressure, but it is not necessary for that symptom to be present at all. As for not telling you, don’t be so harsh on him, glaucoma is known for the lack of the symptoms until the condition has progressed a lot. But the good thing is that it is not something that cannot be dealt with the use of a proper medical therapy.
