I'm 14 and still haven't gotten my period yet. Ugh :( Anyways… I've been getting discharge for two years now, but, on October 18th, I got brownish bloodish discharge that only lasted about 4 hours. I was quite shocked, but I haven't gotten it since! I know it wasn't my real period, but does it mean I'll get mine soon? I'm too shy to talk with my mom about this stuff, so it'd be really nice if someone could help me out

That has been happening to me aswell. About 2-3 months ago i have been having the regular white dicharge( which is completely normal) and lately i have been having A LOT of the brownish discharge and i havent told my mom. im 13 almost 14, and i have been getting normal discharge for about 1 3/4 years, and still no period. two days ago i went to the bathroom and noticed a dark brown sticky discharge and i had it for about a day and a half, then it stopped. then today right before i went swimming i went to the bathroom and noticed a little bit of pinkish color when i wiped, but thought nothing of it. then after i went swimming i noticed the brown discharge came back. is this my first period? or does it mean i am getting it soon? if so, how soon? im confused

I'm going through something similar. It could mean it is your period, or you'll get it in a matter of weeks. Just be sure to wear a pantyliners or thin pad u til it comes, because it would be embarrassing to have a leak. It might be annoying and seem wasteful, but it to be worth it and you won't be embarassed at school! Good luck.

thank you! i actually have been wearing panty liners everyday because i get discharge soo...i think im pretty well prepared. i think that was my first period because i also noticed that i broke out a lot more than usual, and i was a little nauseous off and on and i also had headaches every day.

@goatieegen its normal same with me i started having discharge around the age of 12 and i had a clear diascharge for about two years and now im having dark redish/brownish clumpy discharge and im now 14 the occasional redspot is called spoting and i had it to but it just means youl get it soon hope i helped any thing else just contact me bye :)
