ok. i've masterbated for years now, yet, recently when I approach orgasm i get these spliting headaches. My head begins to pulse strongly and wildly. The pain is sharp and blinding and lately has begun to last longer. Are there any medical reasons for this?

I generally get headaches over a one to two week period and than they disappear for 2-3 months. Then they come back. They're in the back right side of my head primarily, but as they intensify it's then entire back and sides of my head. If a stop it tales 10-20 minutes for it to subside. If I take Advil they go away completey. Frustrating at times.

A real possibility about the cause of these headache is high blood pressure.
When was the last time you had yours checked? I mean, really checked by a professional, with a blood pressure cuff and on a regular basis?
It is normal for blood pressure to spike at the moment of climax, but it quickly resolves. If you have some inflamation in the sinus or blood vessel or lining of the brain or stiff neck or similar irritation, of course it will feel that elevation in BP when you climax.
Try cutting back/out salt and high cholesterol foods and see if that doesn't help some.
If this is allergy season for you, take something to arrest that before you engage in sex.
But if this is a chronic situation and is painful, you need to see your doctor and speak FRANKLY about what you experience and when. They may have a better idea than I.
Good luck!

As suggested above, get your blood pressure checked professionally.
Cut back/out the sodium and salt, and back off on the caffine. That's a start.
But advice of a professional to identify the source of these headaches is important!

I have been getting these for about a year now in the back left side of my head, I don't think its blood pressure because I have reciently had my blood pressure checked many times and it is perfect, I jog everyday and am on no medication.

If it's not blood pressure related, then perhaps it's muscle tension.
Does the headache come only during climax, or does it arrived afterwards, or during build up?
I'd still look at what you're doing to cause this.

I just googled and found this, the same thing happened to me today for the first time ever. I'm on no meds, nothing. My blood pressure is regular and I haven't been eating any extraordinary amounts of sodium. It really freaked me out, I was about to climax, and it started hurting so bad, I instantly put on boxers and unlocked the door because I was seriously afraid I could pass out, or worse, who knows. I have never felt such an extreme pain in my head before, it was scary. And it is still lingering a little bit.
