Hi do you use marijuana, I heard it helps slow the destruction of blood cells. My dad suffered with the same undetectable problem. But now I just recently started having the hearing/feeling pulsating in my head. I stopped smoking 4mons. Ago. I don't think it has nothing to do with this. Other than the pulsating I feel okay just chaley hawk at times

Depending on other symptoms, the milder possibilities include TMJ or myocardial syndrome. The sound is usually called pulsatile tinnitus. Worst case is high blood pressure or heart issues, but depends on what else she is experiencing. You might try both a cardiologist and/or an ear/nose/throat guy and all about those conditions.

Sure, by all means meditation is worth trying, but FYI it doesn't work that way for everyone. I have undergone years of meditation training and I have never once experienced an absence of thought, nor any noticeable relief of anxiety, during or after a meditation session. My brain is not your brain. When my anxiety is through the roof, clonazepam is what reliably allows me to function at a very basic level (ie., calm enough to execute the complex task of making a sandwhich for lunch). Sure there are side effects but the side effects of going unmedicated on days like that are generally much worse.

I have experienced worsening 'pounding' heart beats in my head (base of brain near spine) and neck for several years. I suffer from dysautonomia from long-term (39 years) HIV infection. The dysautonomia mimics anxiety symptoms. I have no anxiety - apart from that caused by my symptoms.
