Same thing. My face neck and head throb causing what I call, "head shaking". It makes concentrating and reading really hard. There is no pain, and no answers. Its like blood pumping through everywhere, similar to when you're in a sauna. Anyone know?

I also have the head throb its the worst feeling in the world. I have high blood pressure and take toporal it doesnt help. Ive been on the meds for a wek so far. IT feels like my head is going to get so hot like a steam pot and explode! This is very worrisome I cant find any answers im scared. It feels like when you hang upside down but sometimes i will wake up this way and it makes it hard to read or write. This usually gives me a panic attack then i take xanax and it helps a little

I am the same, I have had a throbbing heart beat in my head for almost three years and for the first year I took a mild anti depressant at night because I could not sleep. It's worse when I lie down. I have recently given up a full time job because it has become so severe that I cannot concentrate. It's not painfull, but I do get alot of face sweats and my head feels very hot. I feel uncomfortable and I get very tired but that could be the menopause! I am taking HRT but to be honest I don't think it's helped me.

I have been to the Doctors a few times and they don't seem to have any answers they just take my blood pressure and do a few blood tests and that's it! I feel that I'm going to have to feel poorly for the rest of my life!

I'm not entirely sure this is correct in your case, but I get something similar accompanied by intermittent vertigo and slight visual disturbance. My symptoms were initiallyput down to inner ear issue but eventually responded to migraine preventative medication and so I was diagnosed with migraine associated vertigo. May be worth looking into. Good luck!

I too share that problem, when i am lying down my head seems to throb with my heartbeat. It is irritating but i'm somewhat relieved to see others share this problem.

Am confused, because i dont know wether or not tobe happy that others share this throbing in my temples, or should i be scared because no one has said they have been diagnosed or a name for it. My throbing in my temples has been happening on and off for the past 2 years. i have tried taking my blood pressure if am home to see if it is a warning of high pressure and sometime it is high and some times my pressure is low and sometimes it is normal. I happened to mention my temple thribing in class last night and a classmate sd that her dad used to say that he was having before he passed away of a brain aneriusm. Can any body out there tell us what is happing to us and why, but more importantly what can we do or not to stop it, and understand it.

I have these symptoms too. I believe what I'm having are anxiety/panic attacks. If I sit and tell myself I'll be okay they go away

Some people do experience migraine without the primary symptom of head pain. I have migraines, often preceded by general, nonpainful throbbing, and this is always made worse if I lie down. If you're also experiencing visual disturbances or nausea, it's worth trying migraine meds in the triptan family. That's what I take when the throbbing begins and so the pain never develops, which is nice. However, if you have other health issues, make sure you convey them to the prescribing doctor , as some people with heart problems should not take these drugs.

Speak to your dentist - head throbbing could be caused by grinding of the teeth; research "bruxing"; doctors appear to be reluctant to consider (or ignorant of) dental problems.

I have had the throbbing heart in my head for years.  After having low BP my entire life, BP climbed up more every year.  I have had every heart test, blood tests, EKG and a CAT scan of my head.  There is no medical reason for my BP rise.  Take BP meds now, but does not help the throbbing.  I have throbbing in bottom of feet, face, neck and hands also.  Happens when I am still or laying down and gets worse with any exertion.

Have you gotten any diagnosis or solution? I have had this condition for years. BP went up 30 points on both numbers in the past three years. BP meds lowered BP but do not stop the throbbing.
