Hi

I'm currently having a stomach problem. I took 10 advil for pain a few days ago because of a toe operation, with large amounts of coffee, about 3 Vente starbucks coffee (I drink alot of coffee sometimes).

I didn't realize 10 would be more than perscribed, and I felt a bit light headed so I went in to check things out. They did tests and said my stomach and liver etc. were fine, and that I should just take some prilosec. But ever since I took those advil for pain my bowel movements have not been the same. I'm sorry if this grosses anyone out but i'll try to put it in ter
ms that won't be too blunt.

Basically I was having healthy bowel movements before taking the advil, literally a day before. Now after taking the advil it feels sortve "blocked". It's been 3 days and i've eaten a reasonable amount of food over these 3 days, yet what has been expelled is barely anything compared to whats normal for that amount of food.

It went from healthy full bowels, to barely anything. I've just recently started having discomfort where my stomach is (sortve how you feel when you walk after a big meal) this morning thats why I came here to post.

I'm not old, im infact 19 years old. I notice that if I assert pressure i.e "push" I can get a bowel moving but its pretty tough to do, and its barely a
nything. After minimal release (very minimal bowel movements) its impossible to push any further. I've had alot of gas as well.

Many people i've asked tell me that its a long-term thing involving my diet
or that perhaps I "haven't gone in a couple days". But i've had no problems in the past, it happened immediately after I took large amounts of Advil, and advil reports gastro intestinal complications.

Im wonder what I should do. I've been eating fiber rich foods like fruits i.e blue berries/banannas etc. I still cannot movem my bowel more than the very minimal.

Because I am a male, this bowel movement issue is also effecting my urination, whereas if your a guy you'll now how it is when you have to ,ove a bowel it is tougher to urinate, so instead of one full healthy urination im ending up having to head to the bathroom every 2-3 hours to release it in small amounts.

Some people have suggested a suppository, others have spoke against it because of reasons that I may become "reliant on it" for bowel release.

I threw out the Advil, and I just want to get back to a normal bowel function in order to be healthy again.

Does anyone have any ideas, tips or hints as to what I should try/do or who
I should contact? I'm hesitant to seek professional medical help unless i've
exhausted all possibilities.

Thank you

Hi,
I have been taking Advil for years at large doses and now I am having serious
intestinal issues. I understand your anxiety.  I also have the same simptoms right
now along with severe intestinal pains, extreme gas, mucous and bleeding.
My gastroenterologist told me to not worry about it but it's been going on for
5 months.  You have only had the issue for a few days?  Don't ever, ever,
ever, take that many Advil again at one dose.  Not matter what!!!...It's not worth it.
I was taking them because of a back and hip issue and I can't take Tylenol.
My suggestion to you, go see your doctor before you do anything that could
make it all worse.  It's not worth the worry to try and self-diagnose.  Get to
the doctors!!!!

Talk to a colon hydrotherapist in your area, it should help. Not a doctor; however, I work with clients in that situation on a daily basis.

I have referred one article few weeks ago about gastro health care. I think It means It is being triggered by infection and inflammation in the digestive system. Symptoms can include abdominal cramps, diarrhoea and vomiting. Gastroenteritis often causes loss of fluids, but this can be prevented if the person drinks plenty of fluids to replace those lost due to vomiting and diarrhoea. (Order Tramadol Online)
