i had a hystorectomy done n april and ever since iv had cronic diarreah my gp gave me loperamide caps last wk but im still going to the toilet all the time.

Hi: I developed chronic diarrhea in 1994 three months after my son was born. Tests showed nothing conclusive. I was on Elavil (which dries out the system) for years, as well as a plain, bland diet (plain meat, cooked potatoes, cooked carrots, toast, rice, etc.) I frankly have never been quite the same, but better. Well...until about a month ago when I developed gastritis and swelling a month after appendix surgery. Hoping to find an answer to that one soon! Good luck.
