About 9 months ago I got thos pimple on my lip, then it grew in size and got large and red, but it never exploded, eventually it got smaller and became like a hard pebble.

About 3 weeks ago, that little pebble like thing in my lip started to swell, slowly, day by day it got bigger and 3 weeks later it was huge again, I didn't want to pop it cause I thought it was herpes and that was a bad thing to do (plus it should've exploded on it's own, but it wasn't doing anything, but staying right as is).

I did a lot of research online and realised it's not Herpes, (it didnt explode on it's own, there's no fever blisters, no crusty gold stuff, no fever, no swollen glands, no real pain, only a soreness when it was huge, and it didn't look like any pics I looked at).

One night I realised I had the same thing IN my ear lobes. You see, for the past 2 years I get these things in my ear lobes, just like in my lip. They start off small, swell up, stay around for about a month, then usually disapper, leaving a little pebble like thing behind (which dispearrs after a long time).

One time, I lanced one of these things on my ear and a bunch of dark yellowish/whiteish goo came out (I also had a similar thing on my forehead, which I lanced too, and it went away for good, leaving no pebble).

So, after realising that the thing in my ears and my lip might be the same thing, I decided to lance this thing on my lip. I did, and a ton of the same goo like stuff came out, but it only shrank a bit and I tried again the next day, and a little goo came out, but not much. It's still fairly big, and seemingly staying there, I'm hoping it's big cause of some internel swelling and will go away soon, but I'm not sure.

What is this thing? I don't have health insurance and I don't know what to do.

Thanks for your help.

I have the same problem and I don't have insurance either. Despite this, I went to the emergency room. They told me it was a pimple, or more likely, a boil. The doctor prescribed Doxycycline to take over seven days. He game me some literature about boils (faruncles). It mostly said to use hot compresses several times a day to bring the boil to a head. It also suggested taking hot baths. I was told I would see a significant difference within a few days.

ER visit...$100, Rx....$12, not looking like Bubba Gump.....Priceless!

Hi,

Theres 2 natural ways I know of to deal with these -

1. Drink lots of pure red grape juice and after about a week you will find they disappear. ( The grape juice takes all the toxins out of your body through your urine)

2. Mix a spoon full of turmeric powder in a glass of water and drink. You may have to do this a few times but it works. It tastes like sh*t by the way but is quick acting
