Hi from NYC my name is Israel and I am very happy to be here! Currently dealing with tinnitus in my right ear and dizzy issues since hurricane Sandy hit NYC back in Nov 2012. Also dealing with a lot of stress and insomnia due to the tinnitus for the past 3 months. I also was diagnosed with hypothyrodism back in 2006 and was originally prescribed Levothyroxine but I am currently taking 90 MG of Armour Thyroid each morning for this for the past month or so. Just wanted to say hi and introduce my self to the community.
I went to a sleep disorder clinic in NYC recently have not recieved my results yet. But it was an awful experience with probes on my head, stomach, nose and feet they actually expected me to sleep. I slept one hour as a result at the clinic and that was disturbed when the technician came into my room because one of the probes on my head got disconnected. Because of the stress of ringing in my ear and also my hypothrydoism. Is it possible that my pineal gland/cortisol levels in my brain are not functiong correctly? And if so what can I do to help my condition? I am also taking restoril 30 MG at night currently for about a week to help me sleep. It has worked good for a few days allowing me to sleep about 4-5 hours. But the past few days I am only sleeping maybe 2-3 hours with it. On a few occasions I have taken melatonin 5 MG after I wake up to try and help me get a few hours more of sleep. It has help a few times so far. Can you PLEASE give me some advice I really am going through the toughest times in my life! I definitely also feel my heart is going thru some extra stress right now and I am going to visit a cardiologist this week to have an echocardigram done and a holster monitor put on me for 48 hours because I am getting occasional irregular heart beats.
