God my period is so bad!!! i need help!!! My period is like so bad that i always have to go to the bathroom and get my pads! i hate using pads!! i need something to stop my period! And i am not in birth control.

I took ibuprofen and drank lemon cause i was sick and my period stopped and when stippoed taking it in the morning my period came back so I took it again and it stopped again ;-)

I'm a registered nurse and I can tell you that ibuprofen is not classified as a blood thinner BUT it does have a THINNING affect on blood. That is the reason that pregnant women can't take it because it may cause bleeding tendencies. And if you ever have surgery they will tell you to avoid Aspirin and ibuprofen because of bleeding risk. Just saying.

I have very bad hard periods with cramps, clots, puking, and all that comes with it.
I have found that if I go horse back riding, use the elliptical machine at the gym, have sex, or ride my quad it cuts it very short, and has stopped it in the same day with in hours and even gets rid of my cramps. :-D

Has anyone tried the gelatine thing? I kinda have a feeling it's too good to be true, but I'm also kinda desperate...I wanted to skip my period but then forgot to keep taking my birth control pills, then yesterday I took the 2 I missed in one go but I had my period today anyway. Or at least, this evening I started bleeding a bit...does anyone know weather it might sort of go away again because I'm taking my birth control pills now? It's just that I hate having sex when on my period and I don't know how the guy I have plans with feels about it either! If anyone could tell me their thoughts, I'd really really appreciate it!

I am a nurse. Ibuprofen is a NSAID, as is aspirin. They BOTH increase hemorrhage tendencies by thinning the blood. This is why we tell our patients not to take Ibuprofen (Motrin) before or after surgery. Tylenol is the only analgesic acceptable because it doesn't thin the blood, however, it does have hepatic effects.

I tried the gelatin thing and it worked. I kid you not. The only issue was i got cramps but that's better than having a period when u don't want to. Take Arbil for the cramps. Gelatin works! Do what that person said!
