Ibuprofen should work, almost any anticoagulant (blood-thinner) should work.
The uterus should bleed normally, I forgot exactly how it works, but because it's supposed to bleed-it at the very least lessens the amount of blood (unless you take ibuprofen frequently)

Honey honey...do not listen to any of these myths...these people have poor judgment to a womens body. Haveing your period is a very beautiful thing, and you should be happy you have your period. I am a women and have very horrid heavy periods....I was on the depo for about 2 yrs, and my doctor told me it was time to take a break and let my body clean itself out for a few months. So now I am haveing periods again..but my advice to you would be to go on the depo shot...the depo takes away your period for as long as you are on it. It is a very nice and peaceful birth control...I love it. I went on the shot for 2 reasons...1 very bad periods, and 2 don't want children. So if you want to do away with your period go for the depo...don't drink gelitin and take ibu's that c**p is stupid.

I was told this by my doctor too. My period was lasting for a very long time for no medical reason. Like longer than any normal person, and i had prom coming up. (Changing a tampon in a prom dress seemed like no fun)
So she said 3 IBprofiens, 3 times a day, for 3 days. did the trick perfectly.

are ya kidding me? no having a tubal does not stop periods. Having your uterus removed will.
You need your intestines to help you digest
my period has been crazy. (btw it started on mothers day) i had no cramps for two months and now for my birthday i have cramps!!!! a way to stop them is a surgery i heard about. they will tie your tubes and remove your intestines to stop your period! but you won't be able to have kids and you have to go through metapause! i don't think it's that worth it but after i have kids i will definetly get it.
