i just a little curious..do you go by the date you are supposed to start or finish ? for example, i last had my period 9/8/09. my estimated ovulation date was 9/19-9/22. should i be going by the 19th or the 22nd ?

Hi sammi. I am currently trying to conceive so I've read almost everything on this that's probably out there to read. Here's how it works. The first day of your period is cd1 which is the first day of your cycle. So you would ovulate around or on cd14. On the day that I ovulate, I have an egg white like discharge. To answer your question, there is no sure way to know which of those days you ovulated unless you have the discharge like I do. I actually ovulated today so I would have my period around 14 days after today. Hope this helps.
