i have been on suboxone for 2 years and have had to major surgerys and from my experience i stop the suboxone 7 days before surgery and start taking norco 10/325 to transition over from subs, that way i do not go through any withdrawls and the post op pain meds work very well. then after i no longer need pain meds i stop them for 18-24 hours and get back on suboxone. this has worked very well for me. hope this helps someone out that needs surgery but on suboxone.
