Your pathetic parents, and I feel sorry for your kids. Who the hell smokes weed with a 10 and 2 year old in the household? You should both be ashamed of yourselves for being a role model and leading by that example. Toughen the hell up and stop that sh*t. You world will change for the better. Then use your experience to help others in the same position.
In life it's how you affect others that makes the most of who you are as a human being. Your guilt will be tremendous if this affects your kids later down the road. Don't set yourself up for regrets. DO THE BEST YOU CAN IN LIFE and it will lead to bigger and better things. Lead by being positive and strong and don't let anyone or anything get in your way from doing that.

I have been a pot smoker since 15. I didn't start smoking everyday until I was injured in football and had my knee completly re-contructed. I was out of sprots for a year and started smoking then. It didn't become an everyday habbit until I was about 17. I was able to do well in school as well in college. I graduated with a teaching degree. But, thorughout college I smoked a lot. In the last 15 years I have probably not been high for 3-4 months in that span. I quit twice and started again. One reason I know I got so hard core into pot is because of multiple reconstructive surgeries on my shoulders and knee. I hate painkillers so I would just get blazed to deal with the pain. Well, I'm not even sure if I get high anymore so I decided to stop for a while. I'm on 2 days and have not stopped sweating. My metoblism is very high though. I weigh 140 lbs and eat what ever I want. Still am very cut, and able to function while high. I hope I can make it a weeek That is my goal. It will at least save me 100 bucks.

The STRENGTH OF THE BUD is the number one reason why some people don´t feel withdrawals and others feel horrible withdrawals like me and many others who smoke high grade marijuana. The frequency of use is the number 2. Conclusion: Using high grade everyday in high amounts for a long time will lead you to hell when you quit or just cut down.

Hi, there. I agree with you. I've been smoking for more than 12 years every day. When I realized that i could not remember when was the last day I had without smoking I decided to quit, just to get rid of the habit. I was a bit scared because I've been smoking for such a long time and I assumed that it would have been very complicated. On top I was reading all this posts about people having problem to go to bed, eating food etc etc. and I taught " THIS WILL BE A NIGHTMARE!"" The fact is that is not!! During all this time I always avoided junk food, had a few exercise couple of times a week , kept my social life active and really I don't see a big deal in quitting. So I think you are right. Smoking pot puts you in a status in which you are just stoned and all the other problems you may have are hidden by the weed. It's more a mental thing, what I found most difficult was to not see all my friends, living in a ganja environment does not help at all. I also don't think is a good idea to start taking other stuff to help the quitting process, you will just end up with another addiction. I get rid of coffee in the firsts days and that's pretty much it. It's true that it's a bit hard to fall asleep in the very beginning but it does not take long to get back to normal. And now i have dreams again WOOOW this is not a bad thing is it??!! So now I know everyone of us is different but I ganja is a natural thing as much as caffeine valeriana roots gingseng etc etc. so really if you have very bed Symptoms such as depression or body pain or diet problems you should stop think that weed is the problem. So far the pot was just hiding the main issue and now that you are not stoned anymore you have to deal with it. Good luck to any of you people. And by the way I still have a j sometimes and I enjoy it a lot more than when I was a daily smoker!!!

Well in your case unfortunately, it may be a tad bit harder. But as for the rest of you, I dont think marijuana withdrawal is quite what you make it out to be. I have been smoking for about 4 years on a daily basis, about a gram or two a day, and quit about two months ago. For about the first week or two I had trouble eating and sleeping, but that is about all I noticed. An earlier post said it best, try looking at other aspects of your life, diet, excersize, social life- Stay Busy! Marijuana is a mental drug, meaning your body doesnt crave it, but your subconscious will. It really is a tough transition and that is what your mind/body needs to get used to. Over time you will get used to not having that joint to smoke before bed, after work, whatever your fix is. If I were to give advice to anyone that was in my shoes two months ago, I would tell them to just relax and not get so hyped up about it, because that is what will force you back into your old habbits. Eating right and excersizing actually makes a huge difference, not only physically, but mentally as well. And keep yourself busy, I was amazed by the things I was able to accomplish in just a day, no more than a week or two after I quit. It's been two months now, and yes I can say from time to time I crave a bowl to smoke, but I quickly think about where I am now as compared to then, and that thought goes away pretty fast. If your actually serious about quitting cold turkey, just remember it can be done, many many people have. However if you're really struggling I would suggest possibly talking to a counselor, or even attending rehab if needed. But don't let all these people get you hyped up and make you think it is some terribly horrific time. I found I enjoyed life a lot more rather quickly (like a week).
