how long does it take to get pregnant after using depo?

I was on depo for a little over a year. It was my 3rd time being on it in last 10 years. Would take breaks every so often. The last time my shot ran out, I was pregnant within 2 months of being off of it. I think everyone's bodies react different to it. I will never get shot again. Too many negatives.

God bless you and you will be in my prayers. I was on depo for years after my 3 girls and I got re married and we prayed and tried for 5 yrs and I am now blessed with a beautiful baby girl so don't give up on God.

I read on a couple websites that it could take 2-4 months or even up to a year or 2 before you can get pregnant.

 I got on DP after i had my first baby. so i had been on it for 2yrs and 3 mos. after doing some research, I discovered that DP gets stored in your fat cells. i had also read TONS of peoples answers like these, on when they got on, off and how long before a period, and how long before the next baby... everyone was SO different, so i wonder if how much fat one has, depends on how quickly it leaves the body? also your liver, your liver stores and processes the "drugs" we take. So i talked with some of my herbalist friends and seen someone for muscle testing and they suggested i start a liver cleanse with milk thistle, red clover, lemon water, and yarrow root. okay, so i had my last DP shot in June, August would have been the next shot, but TTC soon (?) or hoping to , i stayed off. I got my period back three months and 12 days after August. not necessarily accrediting it to the liver cleanse, which i have only been doing for a month. but Im sure it helped. also i am 5'6 and 127 lb. i do crossfit and pilates. i think it would help to know these factors, or im very curious to see if that matters at all. I know the "facts" about DP, but it really helps to read everyones own personal experiences. thanks for sharing!

hi, I have a question I only took my depo shot twice (last time was Oct 30 , 2012 now its Dec 16th 2012) then I stopped because me and my husband picked that we did want kids now after I took the depo. how long dose it take for the depo to get out of my system and when is a good time for us to try.

yeah, i havent had any shots for about a year, my period returned to normal a couple of months ago, and we have been trying for a baby. But nothing :( I didnt have anything about depo explained to me at all, my doctor was a quack. :/ so im terribly gutted about the fact it has taken so long.

i was on the shot for almost 3 years... after about 6 months of being off of it i had a period... first 3 was regular... and after that they would go 3 and 4 days to 9 and 10 days....i have now been of of it for a year and im still having irregular periods...

After i had my son i got one depo shot January 24th will be exactly 18 months since i had my last shot. I have been tryng to get pregnant for 5 months and still no luck. Since i've reached my 18 month mark, i hope it will be pretty soon!

Hi, I was thinking about your post, i am 5'2 and 110lbs. I have also been off depo for 18 months and still have not been able to conceive. I think it might be different for everyone regardless of their body fat. Lets pray to god that we get a baby soon! :-)

Good day , i had a still born 1 year ago ( 18 January 2012) she was 38 weeks , the nurse that was helping me gave me the injection ( im assuming ) i have been having a normal period for many months +- 10 months , im trying to fall pregant , please HELP , any tips. can the injectioni got in Janaury 2012 still be wearingoff

Hi, I'm 19 and married. Me and my husband have no kids but we are ready. I was on my shots for 3 years. My last shot was June 19th so it wore off September 19th. My period started back in December but light and lasted 3 days. February it was normal and lasted 4 days. I am ready to start my family with my husband and we are tired of waiting. I am also taking the prenatal vitamins which helped make my periods normal. How long will it take me to get preggers?
