My urethra has shifted up into my vagina after weight loss. I have been having a hard time emptying my bladder completely for a couple of years now I also just had a fleur de lis panni and now I constantly feel like I have a UTI.I also just figured out that it had moved inside me. How would one go about fixing it? I don't want surgery again.

Hi.
The situation you're describing, where the urethra has shifted position following significant weight loss and subsequent surgery, is complex and can understandably be causing discomfort and urinary symptoms. When anatomical changes like this occur, they can affect the normal function of your urinary system, leading to issues such as difficulty in fully emptying the bladder and sensations similar to a urinary tract infection (UTI).
While your reluctance to undergo another surgery is completely valid, it's important to consult with a urologist or a urogynecologist, specialists who deal with the urinary system and its interplay with the female reproductive system. They can provide a detailed assessment of your situation. Non-surgical options may be limited in cases of significant anatomical changes, but these specialists can offer the most informed advice on potential treatments or management strategies.
In the meantime, managing your symptoms is also crucial. Techniques like double voiding (urinating, then waiting a few minutes and trying again) can help empty the bladder more effectively. Pelvic floor exercises might also be beneficial, as they strengthen the muscles supporting the bladder and urethra, but these should be done under professional guidance, especially given your unique situation.
While another surgery might be a recommendation, exploring all options and discussing your concerns and preferences with a specialist will help in finding the best approach for your health and comfort.
