Sometimes it's not the message itself but the words used to deliver it. I realize that doctors are not known for their subtleties but you might try to think about what you were saying and apply a modicum of compassion.

If you have any opiates on hand they work great usually my fish takes one 10mg methadone when he starts feeling anxiety coming on, other than that weed helps and just trying to lay down and let it pass.

Hey I need a friend like you. I understand now...why they call them sober living facilities , because i need to learn how to live sober. I need to learn how to deal with feelings naturally. Is it possible though that all my drug use in the past has damanged the ability to do it naturally?

My son has been off meth for 1 year and finds it hard to deal with stress. He is an electrician by trade and my husband is working for him to support him in his recovery however when he is under stress with work he become abusive and shows signs of the old Josh. Once clean is this normal and should we be seeking professional health. We were under the impression after a year clean his brain would be back to normal. What is your advise

I have been using meth on and off for 31 years. Sleep 8 hours a night. If you miss a nights sleep, eat well and exercise the next day if you have to go to work and are not allowed to sleep, and you will be ok. Do not use more meth that next day or you likely will suffer a panic attack as your body is trying to tell you something: Sleep each day is mandatory. After you get enough sleep you will feel fine and can do a line if you want, but don't do it after dinnertime or you will be up all night again asking for trouble by: making bad decisions, losing your cool for no reason, feeling lonely and paranoid, or having a panic attack the next day, especially if you use more meth. Drink Alcohol and a panic attack will be gone in minutes! Get outside and talk to people and go for a long walk, all three if possible. Then sleep that night, start the next day refreshed and achieve positive aspirations in your life! That too will ward off panic attacks! Go for it!

Im a 13year meth user and every time I try to quit I have extreme anxiety, after years of going online I came across this= UCLA is doing clinical trials with ibudilast. Ibudilast helps with the brain inflammation you get after you stop using meth. You might feel like it's anxiety but it's ure brain that is going with recovery and recovery from brain inflammation takes up to 5years after u quit. I'm guessing that's why some people ain't as sharp as they were before quitting. Well after I found out I made an appointment and took an 8hrs drive to UCLA hoping that I had found my solution. :( I was denied because I'm 8hrs away.
UCLA is doing phase 2 with clinical trials after good results with phases 1 and the FDA has granted fast track on it.
Well after I was denied I looked it up and its not even a scheduled drug so I ordered it and its been helping me allot. I'm still a working progress.
My suggestion if you live near UCLA try it out, its free plus if u stay clean they'll give u money gift cards.

I just wanted to add more info UCLA is doing clinical trials phase 2 of ibudilast that the FDA has granted fast track. Ibudilast was being sold in Japan for about 19 years and was noted to be helping addicts quit meth. They brain has its own separate immune system from the body, when someone stops using meth they immune system of the brain becomes activated and brain inflammation is the result that last up to 5years to clear up.
