I had my thyroidectomy 6 months ago, at age 45. Even though I wasn't exactly slim before that, I gained a huge amount of weight after the surgery. I went up 70 + lbs. and now I have no idea is it even possible to lose such amount of weight without surgery like gastric bypass. I tried keeping myself active with at least an hour of walking daily, I watch out what I eat... but it just doesn't seem like there is any progress happening at all. Even that hour I try to spend being active is sometimes impossible to get through: I get so tired so quickly.
Since the thyroidectomy, I've been on Levothyroxine and I was wandering if maybe adjusting my dose and more strict diet could give me more energy and make it possible for me to actually exercise and lose at least some weight?
