Hi I had my Thyroid removed 6 yrs ago and I have gained about 25 + pounds and have been tired feeling most of the time I have told my doctor and he says it's not the medicine I take , I know I have not felt the same after my surgery . I just don't have any energy! I have heard if you take a lower dose of the medicine it helps you lose weight does any body know if this is true? and what can I do to regain my energy back? Thanks , Redd from tennessee November 4 2006

i had a the same procedure 1.5 yr ago. i have also gained almost 40 lbs....and the pain in my feet is almost unbearable! i am also experiencing terrible menstrual cramps....and my hair is constantly falling out! i have no advice...we need answers! i am not happy with my doc. he is very busy...and not personal at all. he doesn't listen to my symptoms....pays attention to blood levels only...which by the way...have yet to be within the normal limits!
