I've never considered myself a competative athlete, My goal is to be as fit, healthy and attractive as I can be. I'm trying to establish a training program that combines running, cycling and weight training.
I talk to triathletes and they can't seem to fit weight training into their schedule. My gym rat friends don't understand why I want to ride my bike on the road 40, 50 or more miles. Because of previous injuries, many folks I talk to can't even include running in their training at all.
Is anyone doing what I'm working towards who can help me set up a program? I really want to continue to challenge myself, but don't want to end up injured because of ignorant mistakes.
Of importance is that I am in Tampa, FL and this is my summer program. It's too hot for really long ride or run distances right now.
