About a month ago, I visited a gyno who told me can help me with painful intercourse. She offered to use a Lidocaine injection in the spot of pain to numb the area so I could have painless intercourse. She also offered to do Femilift treatment to increase blood circulation in the area. (My pain was in 1 spot at the opening of the vagina or near what's left of the hymen. And in the course of years, no one gave me any diagnosis. I could put my finger on the spot).

The Femilift was fine, no problem. But after the injection, she used a black solution to stop the bleeding. Instantly, I had burning feelings. I told her and she said it was normal to feel that way. I drove back home for about 2 hours with unbearable pain caused by the chemical.

The chemical clearly burned tissues and possibly mucosa (I'm not sure of the burning degree). After a couple of days, I noticed I have a little bit of fever (I still had pain in my vagina), I took a photo with difficulty, contacted the doctor and she prescribed antibiotics for 10 days.

It took me about 2 1/2 weeks to be able to sit down or walk!! Currently, after a month, I still have pain once I touch the area or sit down straight up. Not to mention I cannot have sex even with numbing because numbing burn the area even more. I tried moisturizing vaginal cream but it burns too.

I know I can probably sue this doctor but at this point suing her doesn't save my relationship or help me to have sex. Right now I am looking for treatment or any doctor in LA to help me treat the burning area.

Hello, Silia.

There are a few steps you can take to treat a chemical burn inside your vagina.

First, you should immediately contact your gynecologist or a medical professional to get proper treatment. They may recommend a topical steroid cream or ointment to help reduce inflammation and pain.

You should also avoid any further irritation to the area, including sexual activity.

Applying a cool compress to the area can also help relieve pain and reduce inflammation. Keep the area clean and dry.

Have you tried a different type of moisturizer or other treatment options? It is possible there is an underlying condition causing the burning or discomfort that needs to be addressed.
