It could be a common symptom that some women get from leaving a tampon in too long. Take the tampon out and use a pad instead right now and see if you feel better.

If you did not insert the tampon correctly then you will have sever stomach cramps. Trust me I know. And if you are not bleeding heavly then that can cause irritation also. Just use a pad for awhile till you are confident about the tampon. ok :-D
