So I was just wondering if I could be pregnant. I had sexual intercourse three days before my period. My period is irregular, sometimes I can go three or four months without getting my period. The last time I got my period was in about May (I don't remember the exact day or week) and I didn't get my period until July 8th. When it came, it was really light with a few spots here and there. July 9th was when it got heavy. When should I use a at-home pregnancy test? Also, do I have a chance of being pregnant?

it's hard to tell if you are that irregular. it would be best if you went to your doctor and got a blood test if you are that worried. plus if you are that irregular it would be beneficial to see your doc as there may be a more serious issue as to why you are that way.

Well my period used to regular but way too heavy and it lasted for about 2 to 3 weeks. Then I found out that I had an ovarian cist which I had surgery for so now I'm only left with one ovary. I also went onto birth control a few years ago and it wasn't working for me so I stopped taking it. It has been about 3 or 4 years since I've taken birth control, but when I stopped using it that's when my period went haywire on me.
