I have lost my voice after a parathyroidectomy. How long before it come back?

I have lost my voice after a parathyroidectomy.....am wondering if anyone else had this happen and how long before your voice returned to normal?

Hi Dorothy,

I had this surgery 3 weeks ago and still have a hoarse voice. It's actually very significant - I can barely be heard at volume.

How is your recovery process going?

I also had this surgery just over three weeks ago and have had little progress with my voice recovery.

I had my surgery 7 month ago and still not have regained my voice. Per my therapist, it usually take 3 month give or take. I believe there was an issue while intubating me and it may have messed up but voice box.
