During my most recent period, when i removed my tampon, a large piece of tissue came out attached to it. It looked like a finger cot, or a deflated ballon. I was the size of my first finger. The tissue was white and had the consistancy of thick skin. Could this be the inside lining of my ovaries? and if so what should I do? I have never been pregnant, and the only meds I take is seasonal.

I started taking Alesse about 3 months ago. The first month, my period did not come, and I assumed that it was due to starting the pill. This month, I had my regular "nesting" around the house, normal back pain, gas and moodiness the week before i was supposed to start. The week when I was supposed to get my period, I only had the dark brown discharge, minimal blood, minimal cramps but I had this "tissue" come out. I described it to my friends as being the texture of a skinless chicken breast but it was white with a little bit of blood on it.

From what I've been reading, it was either a miscarriage...or I learned that the pill causes the mucus lining to really double up preventing sperm from entering and am thinking that it started to pass when I had my "period"

Please let me know what you find out, and I'll do the same!

That is the EXACT description of what i recently experienced. My friend also described it like a chicken breast with a bit of blood on it and i went to the doctors and she had no idea what it was.
At first i thought it was a miscarriage but it is more likely to be thickening of the uterus.
I have been so scared over the past few days and really want someone to explain what is going on with me..
please someone describe what this is.
