i want get my tougue pierced and i wannah know if they get infected..

It can get infected if you don't follow the directions after you get it done. My son in law had his pierced and got a bad infection about a week later, but he was careless. Your not supposed to smoke after and you have to keep it clean and free from food particles. Turning it daily keeps it from getting stuck or clogged up. Make sure you rinse your mouth several times a day.

Just follow the instruction that you are given from the person who is doing the piercing. Make sure that the place your having it done is reputable. Look and see that the instruments being used have been sterilized and the person doing it is wearing gloves. When turning it yourself, make sure your hands are clean. If you do what your supposed to, you shouldn't have any problems, but if you start to experience extreme pain, nausea, tenderness, swelling (excess) to where the swelling covers the ring, redness at the site or fever, that would be the time to see your doctor. He would remove the ring and put you on an antibiotic.
I have no problems with it, but your doctor will frown >:(
