Its Sunday here and I plan on taking them to the clinic in the morning. Can I please get some advice on what type of infection and how serious this is for children? thanks for your help!

Hi sbk, I imagine that you've already been able to take your kids to the clinic. I'm actually curious to hear what this is because I don't know much about a mucosal vaginal discharge in toddlers so I was racking my brain trying to think of some sort of cause. I hope that you were able to get them on a course of treatment and everything. Can you let me know what the issue was? Thanks!

Hallo,
This can be a yeast infection, but if they are having mucus coming from nose and some in the eyes, it might be something more serious. However, if it is yeast infection it can be easily treated and you shouldn’t worry too much. Have you noticed any excessive sweating in your children? Yeast infection can be caused in places where it is hot any there is high humidity present.
Did your doctor tell you anything? The thing that is bugging me is mucus in nose and eyes. They are definitely under some infection in the body. Is there a possibility that they are having some allergic reaction to something? Are they taking any medications currently?

All the best,
Karen
