I'm 14 and I might have herpes?!? I have NEVER had sex or any type of sexual contact to anyone. But there have been painful red sores in my vagina lips. They don't look like bumps they just look like giant like cuts and they are painful and it hurts to pee. My mom took me to the doctor and he said it could be herpes and did one of those swab test things and it came back NEGATIVE! But when I went back for a follow up appointment he said he still thinks it's herpes and wants me to get bloodwork done. How is it possible that I could have herpes?!??!? Please help I'm so scared :(

Your doctor should explain to you and your Mom why he thinks it's herpes. Just so you know, cold sores, that you can get on your lips, are also a form of herpes. There are many other variations as well.
Herpes is a virus. You can get it by being in contact with fluid from a sore, or touching the sore on someone that is infected.
You don't just get it by having sex.
