Hi KRS,

False positives are very rare so it is likely that you are pregnant.  You DO need to tell your parents very soon.  You will need pre-natal (pregnancy) care to ensure that you and the baby are healthy.

The best way would be for you both to tell your parents, together.  When you tell them, be mature about it.  There is no easy way to say it, just start with something like "mom, dad, we have something to tell you."

Then, "we think we're pregnant."  Remember, there is a chance that you aren't.

Once that is out and you've given them a chance to recover, tell them you've taken a home test and it is positive.

Good luck KRS.
