I am not a victim of labiaplasty, nor am I considering it. I'm here doing research for a sociology project on how labiaplasted models in pornography affect women and men's sexual relations (also did you know that many photographic models are not in fact labiaplastied... but the labia is edited out using photoshop! its infuriating). I just wanted to say that your messages have brought me to tears and i am so sorry for what has happened to you. These doctors who are clearly not respecting your wishes should be brought to justice and not allowed to practice anymore. I wish that there was something I could do for you all, but all I can offer is my support and deepest sympathies. furthermore, for any woman or girl who is on here considering labiaplasty. Please don't do it. I am 23 and have large labia and have had multiple sexual partners. I can attest that it's not a big deal, especially once you get out of high school. Men might make comments, or you might hear them making comments about other women. You shouldn't hang out with those men or seek their attention. They are poisonous to you. There are plenty of men out there who are not like that, please don't limit yourself. You must not let any as****e's comments or any perceived imperfections allow you to go through a mutilating and invasive surgery! Love yourself first and only allow those who respect you and your body to love you back. On the flip side of this, I had a male friend who underwent circumcision @ age 18 because he was as equally embarrassed as all of you were.. and he is now going through the same pain and psychological stress because the operation removed a lot of the sensitivity he once had.
And, again for those who it is too late, I can't give you enough of my sympathy. I will pray for you all that you will heal enough or find a way to somehow fix the damage that has been done to you. And I hope you all continue to discourage other girls from getting this surgery as you have been. You are all doing really good work here as I have seen a couple of girls already canceling their appointments!
