Hi! More than year I have pain affecting my ribs. Doctors didn’t find cause of this pain. Then I go to neurologist. He confirmed that I have intercostal neuralgia. I have treatment, doctor give me some injections. Injection didn’t help me at all. Tell me something more about this disease. I think that I have wrong diagnosis.

Hi! Intercostal neuralgia is pain affecting the nerves which emerge from the spinal cord and run along the spaces between the ribs to the front of the body. This form of neuralgia affects the left side more than the right. It might be mistaken for pleurisy or some inflammatory affection of the lungs. But the absence of any chest symptoms, its occurrence independently of the acts of respiration, and other considerations well establish the distinction. I hope that I help you.
