I have been traveling around a world a lot and my baby has been born in India. Delivery itself was not a problem, but afterwards I got so scared because of the medical insufficiency in the part of India I have been at the moment. My kid is fine and received the most of the needed vaccines. Is a poliomyelitis vaccine a standard procedure for all?

It is, in the most of the developed countries. Actually, this condition is on its way to a complete eradication, although there are still reported cases, mostly in undeveloped world areas. A vaccine has been created in 1952, and was perfected and licensed in 1962. Today, in those areas where the vaccine is used properly, there is no cases of poliomyelitis.
