Hi, folks. My brother in law went to a hospital. He was diagnosed with acute kidney failure. I think he will go to dialysis as well. I would like to know if this syndrome can be caused by constant kidney infections. I would be grateful if someone could tell me something more about this. Thanks in advance.

Hello, there. Acute kidney failure is the syndrome which is caused by different factors. We divide them to prerenal, renal and postrenal. In any case, this syndrome can be caused by constant kidney infections. When I say that, I mean on pyelonephritis. Another type of infection that can cause it is septicemia. These infections affect kidney directly. One of the treatment measures is giving antibiotics. I hope this helps you. Bye!
