I am 46 years old, and have experienced breakthrough bleeding. Is this a typical perimenopause symptom or is it something else?

Hi i have just turned 47 and i have had the same thing going on. sometimes straight after a period there is spotting and sometimes it might be 2 weeks after. Now i am experiencing period pain with no period.
I think we can say WELCOME to menopause! oh joy!
Not to mention mood swings and also an increase in sexual desires! at least THATS a plus! ;-)
