I heard that the most effective treatment for preventing cardiovascular disease is EDTA chelation therapy. But I also read somewhere that this therapy may be harmful sometimes and that it’s not so safe for everybody. So, does anybody know is EDTA chelation recommended by AHA? I would like to know because my mother is interesting to try it.

I know that The American Heart Association recognizes chelation therapy as a treatment for heavy metal poisoning. Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) is the standard FDA approved treatment for lead, mercury, aluminum and cadmium poisoning. But, as I know, The AHA has declared that EDTA chelation is an unproven treatment for other conditions.
