Can you help me with my problem here? My child is 7 years old and he has some weird heliotrope rash. A friend said that it is a symptom of the JDMS and I would like to know if there is a need for me to take him to the doctor or is this something that will retreat on its own.

Well, rash is not that big of the problem, but I think that your child might be having some other problems too, including muscle weakness. This means that he should be undergoing a medical treatment, which does not last long, if we are really talking about JDMS. But in order do determine that, you will have to take him to the doctor first.
