I saw that some people online are saying that Vitamin D may prevent multiple sclerosis and delay the onset after diagnosis. Is this one of those crazy theories that you can find only on the web and nowhere else, or is there any truth to this theory? If you know, please tell me what you think about this.

Actually, this is no news and it has been proven that people with Vitamin D deficiencies are more susceptible to multiple sclerosis.
In real terms, this means that people in countries that get less than their fair share of sunshine, multiple sclerosis is more prevalent. Look at the statistics for Scandinavian countries, for instance!
Taking a supplement can up your Vitamin D levels, and this benefits a person's health in different ways.
This does not mean that you are safe from multiple sclerosis if you happen to have appropriate Vitamin D levels. Some people just get MS, and there is little we can do about this.
Hope that helps.
