It's been about 8 months since I had my abortion and had the copper IUD
implanted as well. I've been experiencing intense hormonal issues
(causing me to experience anxiety, and often get very upset with my
fiance for no reason). My period has changed as well, I used to get it
very lightly for 4 days and ever since the abortion, I've been going the
full 7 days with heavy bleeding. I hadn't really connected my current
skin problems (acne) to the abortion or IUD, but that
makes sense to me now as well.
It's having a severe affect on my life.

Since it's been eight months after abortion, it's not very likely that it is causing either heavy bleeding or acne you have been experiencing now. How long after the abortion did you have IUD inserted? You should have been warned back then that there is far bigger risk of IUD being expelled if it was inserted soon after the abortion, and since copper IUD does not contain or release any additional hormones into your body, there might be a chance that it was moved from it's place. Also, one of the side effects of copper IUD, abortion or not, is that it can cause your periods to become longer an heavier, as it seems that has happened to you already.
